Custom Mold Fabrication

At Southwest Injection Mold, we design and engineer molds needed for manufacturing parts and part components. Custom mold fabrication is an exact science and needs to be perfectly accurate. Thus, we utilize a Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) molding process with our grinders, mills, and lathes to make sure our customers get a perfect product every time.

For some mold fabrication, we employ the use of a sinker machine using an Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) process to ensure the exact desired shape is obtained. EDM is preferred for more complex parts requiring the creation of blind holes or cavities.

Injection Molding

Injection molding is the process of creating a mold cavity that will be filled to every tiny crevice with resin or metal material. After the material hardens to form a durable part, it is tested for precise fit and function. Once the mold is complete and perfected, it can be used repeatedly to manufacture exact replicas of the same part. Injection molds may be used for just about anything from fishing lures and electronic connectors to machine parts. Even if you have an existing mold, we may be able to run it through our molding machine.

At Southwest Injection Mold, you don't have to order for mass production. We have low minimum order requirements but no maximum order requirements. We value you as a customer, whether you're an inventor, manufacturer, or just need a specific part for a machine.

Plus, all our production happens on location right here at our shop in Springfield, Missouri. This saves our customers money because you don't have to pay for shipping or travel expenses to get the perfect custom mold for your needs.
